Defense at SMX, Sporting Arms Show MANILA, Philippines — Everything is ready for the 29th Defense & Sporting Weapons Exhibition, featuring the latest firearms, accessories and sporting goods to be showcased at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from May 25-29. The Firearms and Ammunition Traders Association expects the full participation of group members and exhibitors who are strong advocates of responsible gun ownership. Aric Topacio, head of AFAD, said that in close coordination with the PNP, besides the usual activities such as license renewal and license application among newly registered gun owners, participants had the chance to attend seminars on gun safety, security and responsible gun ownership. “Education and promotion of responsible gun ownership is one of AFAD's main objectives. "As hostility towards firearms has always existed, we must continue to promote responsible gun ownership," said Topacio.
